Story Battle Hints
When drawing your initial hand, try to balance low-Cost creatures and Cost 6+ heavy hitters. Try to summon Zhu Bajie or Shi Huan the Black Wind and use them and Hand Blade to deal damage. Note that if you use a creature with Rush while your opponent has cards set on the board you are likely to lose your own creature to a counterattack.
If your opponent manages to summon multiple creatures, try to regain control of the board with Kirin of the Sacred Gleam, Sakuya’s damage effect; Rush creatures like Death Vulture and Atalanta, Tempestuous Warrior; and the Hand Blade Magia Skill.
Kirin of the Sacred Gleam, Sakuya is also a useful creature for dealing massive damage to the opposing Gifted in a single turn. Try to summon it and two creatures with different types simultaneously when your opponent has no creatures on their field. If both these conditions are fulfilled, between her summon ability and attack skill, Sakuya alone can deal 4 standard damage + 6 fixed damage.
Deus Armor Xiphos is also key to dealing damage. Sometimes try to save Magia Points and summon Deus Armor Xiphos simultaneously with two other creatures.
Myr’s weakness is her low Life stat, so try to avoid giving your opponent chances to counterattack. Damage recovers your opponent’s MP, so if you’re unable to deal a significant amount during a turn it is sometimes better to wait and stock up on MP. The maximum MP that can be stored is 15, however, so if it looks like you’re going to hit this limit feel free to attack.
You’ll want your initial hand to include both Heart and Spade creatures. Summon a Heart creature first, then use the Dragon Fusion Magia Skill to save on Magia Points when setting further creatures. The enhancing effect of Pythia the Resplendent makes it a key part of this deck, so be sure to summon it at the same time as at least one other creature. Mix Spade and Heart creatures to gain access to the Draconic Pact Magia Skill.
If your opponent manages to summon multiple creatures, fight back with this deck’s rich selection of magic cards and Endless Blue Dragon Caller, Sonia. Zeta’s Defense stat may be 0, but that also makes it easier for him to recover MP when attacked, helping you set up devastating counterattacks. Be sure to make the most of your precious Gaia’s Wrath and Deucalion’s Deluge magic cards.
When you need to deal massive damage to your opponent, Pythia the Resplendent along with Endless Blue Dragon Caller, Sonia or Asclepius's Miracle and the Draconic Pact Magia Skill are key. Use Pythia the Resplendent to enhance Dragon creatures, and either summon Sonia or resurrect another creature with Asclepius’s Miracle, then finally use Draconic Pact to strengthen your allies even further. If all these elements are in place, you’ll be ready to unleash a devastating attack. Remember that the opposing Gifted’s Defense is deducted from each attack, so if you have three Dragons summoned it’s better to pay a little extra and use Draconic Pact instead of Bloody Blow. Also note that Asclepius's Miracle will have no effect if your graveyard cards have been obliterated by Violent Dragonbound, No.6.
While this deck makes it easy to quickly summon creatures, there is a risk of running out of cards in your hand. Try to maintain control of the board by summoning creatures after your opponent or using The Golden Apple to force-summon and eliminate enemy creatures.
You’ll want one Cyclops creature card in your initial hand, and Nyx, Goddess of the Night’s ability is useful in the later stages of the match. In the beginning of the fight, use Cyclops and Ox Demon King along with the Wake Up Magia Skill. Wake Up can be used on both ally and enemy creatures, so it can both help you bring out your own creatures or summon enemy ones for elimination. Try to get in the habit of predicting which creatures your opponent may have set, as correctly selecting and defeating them with Wake Up will help you in battle.
If you have two creatures summoned, Veil of Darkness is a handy Magia Skill. Creatures with Stealth maintain that status until the act or are damaged, and they gain some protection against targeted effects. They remain vulnerable to effects that damage all or random enemies, however.
If your opponent manages to summon multiple creatures, try to wipe them out with Gaia’s Wrath or Deucalion’s Deluge while protecting your own allies with Veil of Darkness. Elena has a high Defense stat and isn’t easily defeated. It’s often a better choice to save MP rather than risk overextending yourself.
Once you have three creatures in play, use Demonic Smile to enhance them. Nyx, Goddess of the Night and the Asclepius’s Miracle magic card can help you resurrect creatures and activate Demonic Smile. When combined with Echidna, Mother of Monsters, Demonic Smile can be even more devastating. Also note that the effect of Demonic Smile lasts for subsequent turns as well, so if your opponent is starved for MP and struggling it is sometimes wise to resist the urge to attack. This avoids granting them MP recovery via damage and making it difficult for them to counterattack.
Elena has strong defenses but a low Life stat, leaving her vulnerable to fixed damage and massed, decisive attacks. Watch your opponent carefully, taking out dangerous enemy creatures as soon as possible and doing your best to prevent them from summoning multiple creatures.
When using this deck, do what you can to prepare three creatures and improve them with the Heart of the Warrior Magia Skill. This exhilarating technical deck offers the means to wipe out multiple enemy creatures at once and deal significant damage to the opposing Gifted.
The ideal starting hand includes Ancient Emperor Yamato Takeru and two creatures of Cost 4 or below. Not only does Yamato Takeru’s attack effect allow you to draw Mortal cards, when slain he can set up to two allied creatures on your field. If you have one other Mortal set on your field when your opponent slays Yamato Takeru, when the next turn begins you can potentially have three Mortals and the Heart of the Warrior Magia Skill available for use. And if your opponent seems shy about slaying Yamato Takeru, you can do it yourself with the Arrow of Artemis magic card.
If your field is empty, the Blessing of Asgard magic card may be used to quickly ready three Mortals. The individual creatures are weak, but Heart of the Warrior makes a significant difference.
As a general rule, try to set multiple creatures at once. Even if you can’t activate Heart of the Warrior, the Decapitate Magia Skill is useful to have ready. Try to summon Spade and Diamond type creatures simultaneously to gain access to it. Andromeda the Sacrifice and Vali can also have a powerful effect on the course of the battle when used at the correct time.
Your chances of winning improve if you’re able to save a little bit of MP from turn to turn. Divine City Guardian, Athena - Non is a Cost 10 creature, but she has the Rush skill and can immediately activate Heart of the Warrior if you have two creatures on your field, potentially helping you deal a quick finishing blow to your opponent.
This powerful deck involves the use of Magia Skills to wipe out enemy creatures and the growing might of Norn of Etched Wind, Verdandi.
The Norn of Etched Wind, Verdandi is the key card for this deck. She has the power to enhance both herself and allied creatures, so make the most of this by summoning her alongside other creatures especially if they have the Construct type.
Another important component in this deck is the Howl Magia Skill. Not only can this be used to force-summon a set allied creature when going on the offensive, you can also use it to summon a set enemy creature targeted for elimination. Try to keep both a Construct and a Beast on your field to maintain access to Howl.
When your opponent has creatures on the field, try to keep them down to a minimum using your own creatures and the Stab Magia Skill. If you find yourself in a tight spot, use the Deucalion’s Deluge magic card. While his Life is low, Orion the Hunter possesses the Rush skill and can help change the tide of battle when use strategically.
The longer you can keep Norn of Etched Wind, Verdandi on the field, the closer you are to victory. Protect her by using Howl on enemy creatures or with the Aegis magic card. Aegis completely guards against attacks of 2 or fewer, making it particularly effective against Yamata no Orochi’s summoned effect.
Once you have effective control over the field, begin attacking your opponent’s Gifted directly.
