Special Deck Strategy

Aquatic Assassination Deck

This deck relies on predicting your opponent’s set creature cards, then using the Assassinate Magia Skill and magic cards to deal with them. While challenging to use, mastering this deck will also help you grow in skill as a player.

There are only four Undead creatures in this deck, and you’ll want some of them in your initial hand. In the first half of the battle, focus on summoning Aquatic and Undead creatures simultaneously to gain access to Assassinate. Apart from a few immune creatures, this powerful Magia Skill allows you to instantly slay a set enemy creature. The Golden Apple and Tatami Flip can also be used to interfere with set creatures. Look at the Cost and try to predict which creature is about to be summoned, then eliminate the biggest threats.

While hindering your opponent, try to summon creatures like Aquatic Emperor Sun Quan and Aqualily Goddess of Bliss, Uruka. The From the Depths... Magia Skill can be used to unleash a devastating attack. If you aren’t getting the cards you want in your hand, keep using Assassinate and wait patiently while watching your MP consumption. Work on predicting set enemy creatures, too, so that you don’t accidently use Assassinate on a creature with immunity.

Try to keep Gaia’s Wrath or The Golden Apple in your hand to deal with cases where your
opponent manages to summon or set multiple creatures. You can unleash a quick attack using The Golden Apple paired with the Assault Magia Skill. Sea Deity Neptune’s ability to weaken enemy Attack stats can also help you buy extra time.

Use Assassinate and magic cards to interfere with your opponent, then From the Depths... to enhance your creatures and attack dealing massive damage once you have your allies in place. Also note that the effect of From the Depths... lasts for subsequent turns as well, so if your opponent is starved for MP and struggling it is sometimes wise to resist the urge to attack. This avoids granting them MP recovery via damage and making it difficult for them to counterattack. Frequent use of Assassinate, The Golden Apple, and Tatami Flip requires a great deal of Magia Points, so if there are no enemy creatures in play it is also a good idea to not attack with your own creatures and save MP that way.
Aqualily Goddess of Bliss, Uruka’s enhancement ability is strong, but be careful to note that it doesn’t work with From the Depths... If you have Aquatic Emperor Sun Quan and Aqualily Goddess of Bliss, Uruka summoned at the same time, you can benefit from Aquatic Emperor Sun Quan summon skill more than once.

Leo recovers 4 MP per turn and this deck uses high-Cost creatures, so managing your MP is key to this deck. Learning when to attack and when to be patient is a valuable skill.

Tips for dealing with other decks:

Vs. Myr
Myr’ s deck has several Rush creatures, so even if she doesn’t have anything on the field, summoning your creatures one at a time will leave them vulnerable to attack. Protect your Undead creatures and Leo with Taunt creatures like Marine Spec Ops Goblin and the evolved version of Kappa.

Vs. Zeta
Zeta’s Draconic Pact combo can be devastating. Try to prevent Zeta from keeping multiple creatures on the field using Assassinate, The Golden Apple, and Tatami Flip. You’ll also want to avoid carelessly granting your opponent MP by attacking their Gifted directly. Take your time.

Vs. Elena
Elena’s Wake Up Magia Skill can force-summon your creatures and leave them vulnerable to attack, so it’s important to summon two or more creatures at once. Your deck doesn’t have many offensive magic cards, so be patient and save your MP. If it looks like Elena is setting multiple creatures or if there is a threatening enemy creature, set your own creature and bring it into play with The Golden Apple.
