Once you’ve grown accustomed to Solo Play and have prepared your own deck, it’s time to make the leap to VS Play! Exciting battles await!
Introduction to VS Play
Beginner Match
This special mode is limited to players with fewer than 200 Total BP. Players can select one of four preconstructed special decks and compete with other beginners.
Once players reach 200 Total BP, they may choose one of the four special decks to keep as a graduation present!
If you’re new to the game and not sure about what decks to use or if you want to compete against other new players, give the Beginner Match mode a shot!
Free Match
Free Match mode is always available for play. In Free Matches, players earn Battle Points (BP) useful in raising their Gifted character’s Rank and earning achievements. Where possible, players with similar BP totals are matched together as opponents.
Players may also earn Magia Gold with Free Match victories. (There is a daily limit to the amount of Magia Gold that may be earned in this way.)
There is no penalty for losing in Free Match mode, so it is a great way to experiment and gain experience. We recommend newer players start here.
Ranked Match
In this mode, players compete for TP (Tournament Points) across a predetermined number of matches. Depending on the TP score earned during the duration, players may earn deluxe rewards such as card packs and special card back designs.
Private Match
In a Private Match, a player creates a lobby for others to join. A player may create a Friend Lobby, which is open to any member of the host’s friend list, or they may create a lobby with an ID. The latter lobby type may be entered by any player that knows the Lobby ID.
Network Signal is Important
VS Play matches involve the frequent transmission of data, and a loss or disruption in your network connection can lead to the forfeiture of a match. For best results in VS Play ensure that you have a strong and steady network connection.
